Contract: 1 year fixed-term 

Salary: £28,492 - £33,987 per annum

We are looking for a Programme Officer to join the Development Strategy & Finance (DSF) programme. 

DSF provides cutting-edge, policy-relevant research on development finance issues, bilateral and multilateral development agency strategy, and the international development finance landscape and architecture. Examples of programme highlights in which the Programme Officer collaborated include: 

You will provide administrative and financial project management support to research staff at every stage, from proposals to completion, on a wide range of projects. As well as providing general support to the programme and facilitate the flow of information internally between the researchers and central support departments and externally with a variety of stakeholders.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Project, financial and contractual monitoring.
  • Programme coordination and administration.
  • Support project leaders in the preparation of bids and proposals (with financial and other documentation).
  • General project support.

About you

  • High level of numeracy, love of databases. 
  • Strong experience in monitoring budgets.
  • Excellent communication skills, including good written and spoken English.
  • Good proofreading and editing skills.
  • Multitasking skills in a results-focused environment.
  • Ability to work to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Advanced IT skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and databases.
  • Ability to learn new software quickly.
  • An interest in international development and humanitarian issues is desirable.
  • Educated to degree level.
