Agile Delivery Practice Lead

Posted 9 months ago

Comic Relief is one of the UK’s best loved brands and organiser of two of the
country’s largest fundraising campaigns. Behind all the fun and excitement of Red
Nose Day and Sport Relief is a serious business that is working to create a just world
free from poverty.
We are now transforming the role of technology within the organisation and are
looking for an Agile Delivery Practice Lead to help change the way we deliver all our
public facing digital properties to support our ambitious goals.
This role is perfect for a talented Scrum Master or Delivery Manager who has the
desire to step up to a more strategic role. A key figure in our Digital Product
Development (DPD) team, you will work closely with the leads for Engineering,
Product and UX to ensure consistent delivery of value to our users and the business.
You will ensure agile ways of working are embedded across our cross-functional
development teams, and create a culture of continuous improvement. This is more
than just working with one team, but instead deciding how we structure our software
teams to effectively deliver what we want as a product development function.
As an advocate of the Agile mindset you will not be wedded to a specific
methodology, but instead be keen to apply your knowledge of varied agile
techniques and principles to the situation. You will also be excited about coaching
the stakeholders about why we work with an Agile mindset, and how this can bring
benefits to them and the rest of the organisation. Facilitation of retrospectives and
complex planning sessions should come naturally to you, and you will be skilled at
getting teams and team members to work collaboratively together, to achieve the
best outcomes for the organisation.

Comic Relief positively welcomes, and seeks to ensure we achieve, diversity in our
workforce and that all job applicants and employees receive equal and fair treatment,
regardless of age, race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality.
We encourage applications from disabled people and we will guarantee a first stage
interview to all disabled applicants who sufficiently demonstrate in their application
how they meet the essential criteria for the job as outlined on the person
specification of the job description. Registered charity 326568
