The Comic Relief Media Team are recruiting for Sport Relief 2018!
We are looking for exceptional media relations professionals of all levels to help us make Sport Relief 2018 our biggest and best campaign yet.
You might be just starting out in your PR career and looking to work on a huge national campaign to sharpen your skills while helping to keep our press office organised and efficient. Or perhaps you are more established in your career, and want to use your experience managing big media campaigns, high profile stakeholders and partners to make a difference at one of the UK’s most loved charities.
We are recruiting for Assistant Media Officers, Media Executives, Senior Media Officers and a Media Manager. Whichever level you’re at we’d love to hear from you.
Join us as one of our Media Executives – in London - and you will help deliver national and regional print, broadcast, online and social media coverage for Sport Relief 2018.
This will involve building a solid understanding of the organisational and communications strategies as well as keeping abreast of internal or external activity relevant to your allocated areas of work, including news stories and media coverage. You will get involved in developing media plans, dealing with general press inquiries, setting up media interviews, writing engaging copy as well as managing relationships with media, corporate partners and internal stakeholders. You will also oversee admin systems, reviewing and implementing improvements where feasible to ensure the team operates as efficiently as possible.
You must have experience of working in a busy PR or media office and been involved in projects from launch to completion. You will also have a good understanding of social media. You will be comfortable working to tight deadlines and used to overseeing filing and database systems. Highly organised you will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience of working with corporate sponsors, PR agencies or journalists would be an advantage.
