At Comic Relief we’re focused on bringing about real and lasting change by tackling the root causes of poverty and social injustice. Thanks to amazing support from GSK, in 2015 we launched an exciting partnership focused on fighting malaria and improving health in some of the most malaria endemic countries in Africa and the Greater Mekong Sub-Region.
We are now looking for someone to help deliver this ambitious partnership by managing an exciting portfolio of grants; ensuring high quality Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning; and supporting compelling communications to show the impact of this funding to key stakeholders and the British public. This is a varied and exciting role which would suit a dynamic individual who is skilled at managing the detail of individual grants whilst also being able to step back and maintain oversight of the partnership’s global ambition - to increase understanding of a health system strengthening approach to malaria control and to inspire other partnerships to support global health and the Sustainable Development Goals.
As Grants Manager you will deliver against our Grants Strategy by ensuring efficient grant making and management as well as effective monitoring, evaluation and learning across the GSK Partnership. You will support partnership grants including conducting in-country monitoring visits, reviewing progress and providing considered feedback, advice and guidance to grantees. You will need to manage key relationships with GSK, ministry of health officials, and other interested parties as well as delivering high quality stakeholder reporting.
You must have significant experience in international development with an emphasis on global health with an understanding of malaria and health system strengthening. You must have experience in grant and/or project management and their relevant management tools including Theory of Change, MEL Planning and budgeting.
Comfortable building strategic relationships, you will be able to demonstrate strong analytical and decision making abilities. You will also possess strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
