Grants Operations Assistant

Posted 11 months ago

Tackling global poverty through the power of entertainment is a serious business. As organisers of the two of the UK’s largest fundraising campaigns in Red Nose Day and Sport Relief we are committed to ensuring all our resources are genuinely making as big a difference as possible in people’s lives and deliver lasting change. To drive this change, we award grants to incredible projects on the ground that work to give people a leg up, not a hand out.
As Grants Operations Assistant you will help ensure efficient and effective grant-making and management as well as handle enquiry and complaint processes. This will involve building trusted and effective relationships, recording and responding to external grants enquiries as well as helping grant applicants and grant recipients navigate our grants management system. Critical will be the ability to provide excellent standards of customer care. You will also provide admin support to the team as needed from organising meetings and taking minutes to managing the team diary.
You must have strong admin skills including diary management and minute taking as well as a good understanding of databases and working with IT systems. An effective communicator, you will be good at building relationships and resolving problems. You will have a flexible and solution orientated approach to work too. You will also be the sort of person who is passionate about excellence and delivering on commitments.
Comic Relief positively welcomes, and seeks to ensure we achieve, diversity in our workforce and that all job applicants and employees receive equal and fair treatment, regardless of age, race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability or nationality. We encourage applications from disabled people as they are currently under-represented in the organisation and guarantee an interview to all disabled applicants who meet the essential criteria for the job.
