As HR Business Partner at World Animal Protection, you will manage the delivery of our comprehensive operational and strategic HR and OD service for London and Europe based International staff, ensuring our international initiatives and people strategy are aligned and integrated with World Animal Protection’s ambitious strategic goals to achieve lasting impact for animals worldwide.
You will business partner stakeholders and provide strategic and tactical HR support to global staff and managers. You will be a valued member of our HR team, and will contribute towards the review of policies, practices and guidelines to further drive high-level organisational performance through best practice people management.
This key role has a broad remit, covering a range of generalist HR needs. You will provide technical HR support on any complex issues, change initiatives and bespoke projects, update policies and procedures, and work with managers to deliver effective resource planning and on boarding. You will also play a key role in the Project management of implementing a new Global HR system.
Important will be the ability to coach and guide managers to help their understanding of the implications of employment issues and sharing your knowledge to enable them to make informed decisions to mitigate risk.

HR Business Partner – Requirements
You must have experience of supporting an international organisation as an HR generalist and be accustomed to working in cross-cultural environments. You will have managed the delivery of people strategies to high standards and are able to drive the successful achievement of strategic goals.
Your expertise will cover areas such as change management, employee relations, reward as well as recruitment and selection. You will be used to delivering bespoke HR projects too. You will be up-to-date with appropriate legislation and HR best practice.
You will be able to coach managers to enable them to manage people issues, such as identifying learning and development needs. Your knowledge will include business planning and policy implementation.
In addition to having excellent communication, organisational and planning skills, you will have an eye for detail as well as the ability to implement and sustain difficult decisions. Good knowledge of employment law in Europe would be an advantage.
You will have a natural passion for animal welfare and a strong commitment to the aims and values of World Animal Protection.
