The Youth Sport Trust is anational charity passionate about creating a brighter future for all young people through the power of PE and school sport. We run an amazing programme of flagship events, conferences and camps and we want you to use your experience of working in a busy events team to help ensure they run smoothly.
As Events Officer you will develop your expertise supporting a range of events as well as leading the coordination of others. You will get involved in planning and organisation, including arranging briefing meetings, producing detailed project plans and schedules as well as managing our VIP database. In addition to liaising with colleagues, you will build relationships with external agencies and partners to ensure projects are delivered on-time and within budget. You will also make sure events are effectively communicated to colleagues and our schools network. The ability to gather feedback, evaluate success and deliver insight to shape future activity and improve effectiveness will be important too. You will support the Events Manager with the ongoing development of our events strategy as well as help produce reports and management information for circulation to senior leadership team and key stakeholders as required
You must have experience of leading a number of events and a proven track record of successful delivery. You will be used to working cross functionally and will possess excellent communication and influencing skills. Comfortable overseeing multiple projects, you will have experience of coordinating work with external partners and managing deadlines. A solid administrator with strong PC skills you will have an eye for detail as well as experience of budget and financial coordination and producing simple financial reports.
