Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity provides emotional and practical support for families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness. This Sunday Times Top 100 Not-For-Profit organisation is looking to appoint a Major Donor Manager to lead and deliver Rainbow Trust’s Major Donor Giving strategy.
This is an exciting time for a talented Major Donor Manager with some previous experience of developing and executing a Major Donor annual work programme to join Rainbow Trust as we are an ambitious charity with a clear vision for growth and a strong sense of values. Achieving results with and through people, your persuasive “selling” rather than “telling” communication style and your ability to engage with and motivate others will be recognised in our high-performing organisation. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Fundraising, your focus will be on will delivering a strategy to grow income and increase our donor base.
You will research, approach and cultivate new potential Major Donors as well as maintaining and developing relationships with our existing donors. Enthusiastic and engaging, you will be an influential communicator who enjoys inspiring and collaborating with others. With strong initiative and self-direction, you are able to pro-actively establish relationships with new groups, whilst being a motivating team builder.
Naturally warm and enthusiastic, you will thrive working on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and achieving success by engaging the commitment of others. Educated to at least A Level you will have previous experience of budgetary responsibility for Major Donor income and expenditure. With strong networking skills, you will have a sincere appreciation of people, linking their needs and motivations to the charities goals.

Part Time 24.5 hours per week, 1 year contract (maternity cover)
£32,000 - £35,000 per annum (pro-rated for part time) + benefits (inc 25 days holiday pro rata, Performance Related Pay and pension)
An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for this post.
